KUCHING: Kuching North City Hall has ordered illegal hawker stalls along Jalan Astana to close due to the detection of typhoid carriers among several hawkers there recently.
Public relations officer Norhayati Bidin said the hawkers were ordered to cease operations on April 5 after one case of typhoid fever in the area was reported to the Kuching divisional health office.
