Suhakam: Unite detained children with parents


KOTA KINABALU: Efforts to resolve the plight of 65 undocumented Filipino children at Sabah’s three immigration detention centres should begin with a move to reunite them with their parents. 

Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) deputy chairman Tan Sri Suhakam Sipaun said he felt that Malaysia must be prepared to care for the kids over the long term, including providing them with education or skills training, if they were not to return to the Philippines.
