PENANG: Negri Sembilan Land and Mines Department director Datuk Abu Bakar Zakaria will be the new Penang Municipal Council president.
He replaces Datuk Ahmad Phesal Talib who has been promoted to deputy director-general of the Implementation Co-ordination Unit (ICU) in the Prime Minister's Department.
