WITH water cleanliness making headlines lately, the launch of the new Pensonic Natural Pure Water System could not have been more timely.
It differs from other top-end filtering systems in that it not only removes contaminants, chemicals, dirt and odours, but it also energises the water it produces, said Pensonic Holdings Bhd group managing director Dixon Chew after launching the product in Genting Highlands on Tuesday.
Water is filtered through six individual filters in the system Doulton Ceramic Filter, Jacobi Carbon Block Filter, Bayer Resin Softener Filter, Energy Ceramic Filter with Mineral Sand, Tourmaline Mineral Filter and Crystal, and Jacobi Activated Carbon Filter.
The introductory price of the product is RM1,888 and it comes with another set of six filters worth RM400, making it maintenance-free for two years, he said, adding that it should hit the stores by April.
The company is targeting to sell 12,000 units in the first year, which translates into almost 10% of its sales turnover.
Since the launch of Pensonic's new logo and the Pensonic with Friends Campaign last August, he said, response from dealers had been very encouraging with 50% sales growth in February this year compared with February last year.
On Feb 24, Pensonic announced through Bursa Malaysia that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Amtek Holdings on a proposed acquisition on two of Amtek's subsidiary companies, including Cornell.
On our exports side, we will pursue aggressively, efforts to penetrate new export markets, especially in South-East Asia, the Middle East and China, with potential to expand our Own Design Manufacturing business which currently is about 15% of our turnover.
We are targeting to raise it to 40% , he added.
