Sand mining will once again be allowed in Selangor, when the maintenance and beautification of the three rivers in the state is privatised.
State Environment Committee chairman Datuk Ch’ng Toh Eng said the activity would be regulated and monitored under the privatisation scheme, which would entail maintaining and managing Sungai Selangor, Sungai Kelang and Sungai Langat.
