KUCHING: The kind gesture received by Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Joseph Salang at a Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) gathering has fuelled speculation of him finding a new political home in the Dayak-based Barisan Nasional component party.
Salang, who has been without political affiliation since the deregistration of Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) 16 months ago, was seated next to and seen “chatting a lot” with SPDP president Datuk William Mawan at the party’s pre-Chinese New Year gathering in the Pakan community hall here recently.
