ALOR STAR: The state Veterinary Department has imposed a quarantine order on 40 heads of cattle that have contracted foot and mouth disease (FMD) in a village in Bandar Baharu district.
Blaming the spread of the disease on illegal cattle movement, department director Dr Quaza Nizamuddin Hassan Nizam said such irresponsible act would only aggravate the situation.
