A GUTSY mother who risked her life to rescue her neighbour’s four children trapped in a burning house last month received a standing ovation when she went onstage to receive her certificate of commendation.
Patemah Jaaman, 54, a housewife, was presented with the certificate by state Housing, Local Government, Environment and Transport committee chairman Datuk Wira Poh Ah Tiam during the Quality Day celebration and award presentation organised by the state Fire Rescue and Services Department in Malacca recently.
