THE state government will not postpone the Dec 31 deadline for swiftlet breeders in Penang to comply with new guidelines which it announced last month.
State Local Government and Traffic Management Committee chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan (BN - Pulau Tikus) said new breeders might take advantage of a postponement by claiming that they had been in the business before Dec 31.
