DiGi Telecommunications recently treated 5,000 customers to a sneak preview of Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam II, starring Maya Karin, Rusdi Ramli, Rosyam Nor, Kavita Sidhu and Ida Nerina.
The preview for Klang Valley customers was held at five movie halls at TGV KLCC, while the rest attended other previews in Penang, Johor Baru, Kuching, Miri and Kota Kinabalu.
Customers from the Klang Valley also received an additional treat when they were later taken to Top Hat Restaurant, which was all decked up like a haunted house.
Guests not only enjoyed a free flow of food and drinks but also experienced a spine-chilling tour of the “haunted house.”
Besides being entertained to performances like the traditional kuda kepang dance, which could be seen in the movie, the guests also took the opportunity to meet Maya, Kavita, Rusdi and Ida in person and obtained their autographs.
Thirteen winners of the first phase of the DiGi Buru Pontianak contest, a unique SMS role-playing-game (RPG), were an-nounced during the event.
They walked away with prizes like Plasma TV, home theatre system, television sets and goodie bags.
The contest will end on Dec 31 and customers can expect more attractive prizes offered in the second phase.
Together with Pesona Pictures, the telco has been and will continue holding roadshows at shopping malls in Malacca (Dec 3), Seremban (Dec 4), Sabah (Dec 10) and Sarawak (Dec 11).
“The idea of treating DiGi customers beyond their imagination is what we have always been and will continue to deliver. With our collaboration with Pesona Pictures, customers are offered extensive promotions and value-added benefits,” said DiGi head of segment marketing and international wholesale Yohani Yusof.
