EACH day, busloads of tourists disembark at Dataran Putra to gape in fascination at the Putra Mosque, also nicknamed the Pink Mosque. But wear-and-tear and lack of maintenance are beginning to show on its pavements and walkways.
Tiles have cracked and sunk in certain places, causing unwary visitors to trip on them. The once well-maintained fountains only spout water occasionally and a few have almost dried up.
