Infineon Technologies Sdn Bhd, the largest investor in the state, will build its new RM3bil plant in Kulim, Kedah, instead of Malacca, said state exco committee chairman for trade, industry, entrepreneur development and co-operatives Datuk Wira Ahmad Hamzah.
Replying to Goh Leong San (DAP – Bandar Hilir), he said that Infineon was not shifting but expanding its investment to produce wafer fabrication in the other state.
