More than 3,000 head of cattle in Kedah have been vaccinated against the foot and mouth disease since the disease was first detected about two weeks ago in Pendang, Alor Star.
Kedah Veterinary Services Department director Dr Quaza Nizamuddin Hassan Nizam said the animals were from within a 10km radius of the four villages in Pendang where 50 head of cattle were found infected.
