THE past few months had been a pretty quiet one in the Klang Valley but things look more promising for this weekend.
Expect a good dose of local an international acts hitting the decks in the various clubs around town.
New clubs also abound with several launches here and there.
Here’s a selection of what’s happening tonight onwards so get your dancing shoes and your clubbing clothes out for a night on the town.
ZETA BAR, 5th Floor, Hilton Kuala Lumpur, 3 Jalan Stesen Sentral, KL
London’s famed singer and DJ Sonique is set to dazzle Zeta Bar for two nights – tonight and tomorrow – as part of Hilton’s first anniversary.
The multi-talented Sonique promises to set the Kuala Lumpur party scene on fire with her pulsating sounds and entrancing voice.
Sonique is the celebrated singer and deejay that brought to the clubbing world the platinum selling album Hear My Cry, which includes her British chart topping single It Feels So Good.
Sonique also released a second solo album, Born to be Free, in 2003.
Admission is RM95 per person, inclusive of a glass of champagne.
Chic silo booths are also available to accommodate between four to 30 people and include champagne and drinks. Prices start from RM888++.

Recently transforming from a live band venue to a dance music club, Sweet X-cess tonight features local DJ Kenny K playing out some uplifting floor twisters, funky house and vocal anthems.
Jazz vocalist Michelle Nunez, formerly a regular with the now-defunct Piano Bar@1919 Bistro, features on live club PA.
Open bar from 9pm to11pm, after which there will be a first-drink cover charge.

The Loft: Twilight Actiongirl’s Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me 1st Birthday Party.
One trailblazing year at the Loft and the Twilight gang is still keeping it strong for indie, disco-punk, and electro-clash lovers.
It’s the only club night in town that takes it and gives it out with a punk twist.
Come celebrate the chaos and grab a stash of indie freebies and giveaways at the door (while stocks last).

Swing by on Friday and Saturday’s Shuffle Fanatic nights and the deejays will be blasting Hard Dance to a crowd of Shuffle revellers.
Shuffling, is the latest dance craze that exploded from Down Under and now it’s hitting the dance floor loud and proud, only at Glow.

Mainroom: Push celebrates its first anniversary with Ray Soo blowing out the birthday candle and Altered Image (Callen, Didjital and Terence C) popping the cap.

Velvet Underground: My House night brings you DJ Gabriel with deep house, tech-house and energetic mixes and vibes.

The Loft: Goldfish and friends play out the R&B, funk and soul. Admission is free. Party from 10pm onwards.
Atmosphere: Raw with DJ Joey G. High energy pumping stuff with the poster boy of the club scene. Expect guest percussionists as well.

Rotation as you transform your Saturdays revolving into the beats of the KL underground.

Liquid makes a beach resort pool deck out of its terrace and calls for everyone for a few hours of tropical lounging with cute waiters and their umbrella cocktails.
Besides, it’s the first party since Liquid underwent a nip and tuck, so you’ll definitely be in for a nice surprise.
