HOUSE buyers of the affordable homes in Crescentia Park in Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Penang, are one lucky lot.
With only a RM1 deposit, they can book a double-storey link house at RM42,000 each.
The 330 eligible buyers were offered 100% loan for their houses through an easy home ownership scheme called “RM1 affordable home”.
The lucky house buyers received the offer letters from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who took time off from his hectic schedule while attending the ninth Multimedia Super Corridor International Advisory Panel meeting in Penang on Thurs-day.
The project is developed by Abad Naluri Sdn Bhd, an associate company of the Equine Group.
Equine Capital executive chairman Datuk Patrick Lim said the housing project would be ready in 2007.
He said the RM1 scheme was to help the lower income group own a home because they would not be able to fork out a huge amount of money should they be required to pay the 10% deposit.
He said the affordable home was the brainchild of Abdullah.
Crescentia Park is a mixed development new township in Batu Kawan, the proposed third Cybercity of Penang .
