Calligraphy contest gives heritage a push

A CHINESE calligraphy competition took place at South City Plaza recently, which saw nearly 200, both students and adults, participating in the art based on questions that they were given.

The competition is organised by the management of the complex in conjunction with its month-long cultural event themed the Chinese Cultural Heritage Celebration’ that was launched by Culture, Arts, & Heritage deputy minister Datuk Wong Kam Hoong on Aug 20 and will end on Sept 18, which is the actual day of the Lantern and Mooncake festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn festival celebration.
