Bridal fair aims to help the needy

BRIDES-to-be at a loss for wedding theme ideas are encouraged to stop by the Alamanda Charity Bridal Fair 2005. 

The fair at the sole shopping mall in Putrajaya is on till tomorrow and features booths by a small group of wedding and bridal service providers who aim to make weddings an occasion to remember. 

Puteri Umno chief Noraini Ahmad launched the fair at the Centre Court on Sept 1 and commended participants for their thoughtful gesture towards the needy.

The fair is being held in aid of Tabung Bersamamu TV3, a reality programme that highlights people in need of help from the society like the poor, abused, orphaned, addicts and the disabled. 

During the fair, 5% on every RM100 spent by customers at the various booths will be channelled to the programme fund. 

Exhibitors include Rizalman Ibrahim, Kumpulan Karangkraf, Putrajaya Shangri-La, Estee Lauder, Siti Catering, D'or Rue, Trans Floral, Manggis Production, Worldwide Event Gallery and Sri Sutra Travel. 

Wedding services offered span the range from bridal trousseau, event management, wedding venues and banquets to catering, table setting, floral arrangements and honeymoon packages. 

Exhibitions, fashion shows and workshops have been scheduled to complement the fair. Sinar FM is the official radio station for the fair while Pesona Pengantin is the official magazine.
