ALOR STAR: The state Kedah Anti-Smuggling Unit (UPP) has increased patrols to prevent the influx of Thais following reports of unrest in southern Thailand.
Kedah UPP commander Abdul Rahim Ismail said they were monitoring the situa- tion as there was a possibility that some Thais might try to flee from unrest in their country.
