Latest outlet sets trend with new concept

POPULAR fast food restaurant A&W Malaysia is now available at the Ikano Power Centre in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.  

The new outlet offers a fresh, cheerful ambience to tuck in to its signature items of Root Beer Floats, Coney Dog and Mozza Burger.

The recently opened 32nd outlet offers a fresh concept that will set the trend for upcoming outlets and the existing chain of A&W restaurants in the country to follow. 

Bright, breezy colours add a touch of zest to the restaurant, making it cheerful and welcoming.  

A&W Malaysia is owned by the KUB Malaysia Bhd group. Present at the opening ceremony were KUB Malaysia Bhd chief executive officers Izham Yusoff and Daniel Chong and deputy chairman Datuk Faisyal Datuk Yusof Hamdain Diego, Boustead Holdings Bhd group managing director Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin, and Ikano Power Centre executive director Joseph Lau. 

“KUB Malaysia also holds the A&W franchise for Thailand and our Ikano outlet comes right on the heels of our new restaurant in Petronas Srinakarin Bangkok,” said Izham. 

“The A&W outlets in Thailand are the only fast-food chain restaurants that are certified halal so it caters to everyone in the country.” 

A&W is the first fast food restaurant chain in Malaysia with the opening of its earliest outlet in Petaling Jaya, in 1963.  

Its signature products such as Root Beer Floats served in chilled A&W mugs, Coney Dog, Mozza Burger and Waffles are still offered. 

In conjunction with its new opening, A&W Malaysia is offering a new stuffed bear series of its lovable and huggable mascot.  

They are the Great Root Beer Bear, Sailor Bear, Army Bear and country Bear available at outlets nationwide.
