FOR the past two months, visitors to Malacca have been impressed by personnel from the newly formed mounted police wing as they trot smartly while patrolling the historical city’s main tourist destinations.
The Malacca Tourist Police Wing, launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on July 1, is the first of its kind in the country where policemen conduct patrols on horseback.
