Sacrifices for peace remembered

The younger generation may find it hard to relate to the Malayan Emergency but it was an experience unlikely to be forgotten for those who lived through that period. 

Many of the older generation remember the bloodshed, hardship and the sacrifices they had to make while the security forces pursued and fought with the communist insurgents in the jungles, towns, villages, plantations and tin mines all over the country.
