CLARKS' revival of its Originals Collections was unveiled with the Spring/Summer and Autumn/ Winter collections on display at the Nusantara Ballroom, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, recently.
Clarks Asia regional director Teh Peng Teng said Clarks Originals was positioned as a high-end fashion footwear brand and Malaysia was chosen for its launch in South-East Asia.
The Originals Classic, Originals Retro and Originals Twist take on a more forward and lifestyle approach in its designs, with shoes styled to suit all ages.
The launch showcased some popular classics like the Desert Boot, Wallabee and Desert Trek.
The Desert Boot introduced in the 1950s was designed by Nathan Clark who was inspired by shoes worn by Burmese troops in Cairo.
Teh said the boots have become the international symbol of comfort, style and versatility and is seen as the preferred footwear by bands like Oasis, the Beatles, Spice Girls and the Rolling Stones.
The boot comes in natural leather, burnt orange tumbled leather and brown and sand suede colours, with a combination of ruggedness and style in design.
From the classic range, the Wallabee in maple suede and black smooth leather is suitable for lazy comfort and stylish appearance with its sturdy and simple features.
Footwear is always a hit with women and, from the Classics range, attractive Desert Boot and Wallabees in shocking pink, rosa and sand bring a playful youthfulness to the range.
The women's Flower-power range was the epitome of feminine charm perfect for summer fashion.
Flowerpower is available in sweet lilac, lime and powder pink suede or baby pink, ivory and black leather.
The women's sandals range also offers the hip Iced Lolly and Indie footwear while the men's range has two – Legend and Charing II.
The Charing II depicts an understated style and is available in white leather and mahogany beeswax leather, while the Legend is more casual and chic with mahogany beeswax leather.
The designs are daring with bold and pastel colours and styles to suit the fashion conscious, encouraging people to dress up in a style that suits them best.
