Four receive scholarships from academy

EC-Council Academy Malaysia, the principal provider of EC-Council programmes in the Asia-Pacific region, recently presented its inaugural Tan Sri Datuk Dr Yahaya Ibrahim scholarship for e-Business and IT Security programmes to four successful candidates. 

The scholarship is worth RM500,000 and is available to an estimated 50 candidates each year.

A total of 13 applications were received over a five-week period since the scholarship was launched on June 15.  

Of the successful candidates, three are working adults and one, a student.  

They are Elamaran Raganathan, an administrative CSA Help-Officer with EPIC-I Sdn Bhd; Dzulkarnain Mustapha, a customer support officer with Boustead IT and Maniselvan Nadarajah, a Subject Matter Expert (Educationist Department) at Telekom Smart School Sdn Bhd. Mohamed Ali Sham is a SPM certificate holder.  

“We introduced this scholarship primarily to provide educational opportunities to academically deserving and financially challenged students. The scholarship also aims to contribute towards the development and success of the e-Business and IT security industry through skills development,” said recently appointed EC-Council Academy chairman Tan Sri Datuk Dr Yahaya Ibrahim.
