NON-professional associations and guilds can apply for special grants to host events aimed at wooing visitors to Penang, said State Tourism Development and Environment Committee chairman Teng Chang Yeow.
He said the Penang Tourism Action Council had contributed an initial fund of RM200,000 to disburse grants of between RM7,000 and RM15,000 for the advertising and promotion activities in each event.
