It has become a common sight at Sarawak Cultural Village at this time of the year – a huge stage with the jungle and Santubong Mountain as its backdrop and the crowd numbering in the thousands swaying and dancing to the beat of musical rhythms from around the world in the clearing in front of it.
This is the annual Rainforest World Music Festival, which attracts music lovers and revellers from Malaysia and other countries to a small corner on the Damai peninsula just outside Kuching.
