A total of 76 people will be made ‘Datuks’ in conjunction with the 67th birthday of Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas today.
Heading the list of 1,307 recipients of state awards is Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who has been conferred the state’s highest award, the Darjah Panglima Pangkuan Negri (DPPN), which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri.’
