FORTY-FOUR trawlers at the Teluk Bahang fishing village in Penang have been grounded since June 20 due to diesel shortage.
According to the trawler owners' spokesman Eng Liang Seng, 55, the problem has caused hardship to 20 trawler owners and affected the livelihood of the 140 fishermen working for them.
