To brave the tunnel or the traffic?

SOMETIMES, getting to the other side isn't as easy as it seems. At many places in bustling Klang Valley, pedestrians are posed with the option of crossing busy roads and scaling dividers or taking the pedestrian tunnel. To choose the latter means risking being confronted with whatever or whoever lurks beneath. Either way, their safety is at stake.

While some tunnels are dark, stinky and full of graffiti, there are some that are well maintained and brightly lit. Nonetheless, most pedestrians are leery of using the tunnels, known to be haunts for drug addicts, vagrants and potential criminals, for fear of their safety.
