THE issue of regaining state rights and autonomy under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) continues to be debated at length in Sarawak, a month after Parliament failed to amend Article 1(2) of the Federal Constitution on restoring Sarawak and Sabah as equal partners in Malaysia.

A public forum last Sunday (April 28) on the question "Should Sarawakians support the amendment to Article 1(2) as tabled in Parliament on April 9, 2019, in the light of MA63?" attracted a fair amount of interest.
