Against the call to ban smoking

I WRITE to point out that the views of some local coffeeshop operators featured in The Star article “Call to ban smoking at eateries” on July 27 do not represent the stand of the Malaysia-Singapore Coffeeshop Proprietors’ General Association (MSCAPGA).

MSCAPGA represents more than 20,000 coffeeshop operators in Malaysia and we do not believe banning smoking in eateries is the right solution.
