Soul-soothing treks up the hills

Moongate Five is a hikers‘ rest station about 300m above sea level on the northern slopes of the Penang Hill range. Hikers built all the facilities up here themselves decades ago.

HIKING was never on my list of things to do until a friend led me to the Penang City Park trail several years ago.

It became our routine to hike together twice a week before heading to our favourite roti canai shop near her place in Island Glades.
