A wish to share in season of joy

WHETHER or not Muslims should participate in Christmas celebrations is always a controversial topic, especially for converts like me. I’ve read and heard both sides of the argument but for me, I choose to participate in the celebration.

I’ve been a Muslim for six years now. In early December 2010, I pronounced my Kalimah Syahadah, a declaration needed to embrace Islam. I initially did not announce my decision publicly, not even to my own parents, as I was not sure of how they would react.
