‘Travel’ takes on different forms

I HAVE always been grateful for the many opportunities I have had since my teenage years to discover worlds different from my own.

Before my parents could afford to take my sisters and I to faraway lands, I had the opportunity to discover many places – from the kampungs in Perth to the forests of Sabah – as part of a journalism programme for youths.
