Dark tints clearly pose a danger

Vehicles with dark tinted windows make it difficult for drivers behind them to estimate the distance of the vehicles in front.

DRIVING in a downpour along the Penang Bridge one day, the car in front of me suddenly braked and I almost rear-ended it.

I noticed the vehicle’s third brake light did not work as it came to a halt. Worse, it had a heavy tint which made it difficult to estimate the distance of the car as well as the vehicle in front of it.
