Tap MPOB’s tech, please

MPOB has developed some 608 technologies throughout the value chain that can be adopted by SMEs.

RESEARCH and development (R&D) may be a tall mountain to climb for most SMEs, given the amount of resources needed to develop and test a product for commercialisation. But without it, small businesses will find it a challenge to make competitive products.

With this in mind, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) has been looking into various means by which it may be able to extend the necessary support to SMEs in the palm oil industry. The idea is to help them move further down the value chain, even when they lack the resources to do so on their own.
