Ong says regulatory reporting by public-listed companies promotes discipline.

Small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) were briefed on the pros and cons of listing their companies during the IPO Seminar “Stairway to Listing” at SME Corp’s office in KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur on Oct 10.

Jointly organised by SME Corp, Bursa Malaysia, MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Bhd (MIDF Investment) and the Bumiputera Agenda Coordinating Unit (Teraju), the seminar saw the attendance of 150 SMEs, whose representatives sat in on the panel discussions and presentations by the local bourse and investment bank.
