Epson Malaysia says GST won’t hinder projector business, market share to climb in 2015

Effective communication: Lee believes it is not just about getting retailers to sell products but also to ensure there’s proper communication materials to educate consumers at retail-shelf spaces.

Despite the implementation of the 6% Goods and Services Tax (GST), Epson Malaysia Sdn Bhd is projecting a steady growth in its projector business in 2015, with its market share climbing to 28% from 24.3% in 2014.

Epson sales and marketing division general manager Danny Lee said the growth would in part be driven by its users’ pre-GST need of printing hardware and projectors, as well as the company’s emphasis on educating the market on its products.
