THE UK-based Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) recently affirmed its commitment to continue contributing to the Malaysian government’s skills agenda by delivering industry-leading qualifications developed in line with emerging technologies for the automotive sector.
Early last year, IMI signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia’s Education Ministry to provide training support across a network of community colleges with the aim of enhancing the skills of 1,000 automotive training candidates by the end of last year, particularly focusing on electric and hybrid vehicles.
