Two friends overseas glimpsed an opportunity in rubber-cushioned flooring. Eighteen years, many ups and downs later, and their company Fairmont Ventures is now one of the top manufacturers of polymer granules, writes JOY LEE.
THEY were childhood friends from Ayer Itam, Penang, who attended the same school and graduated together in the UK. One became a civil and structural consultant engineer and the other, a rubber technologist.
