NEARLY nine months into the job of overseeing the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involving the Chinese community and the micro credit scheme for their development, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong, 47, is more convinced than ever that SMEs are the “engine of economic growth.”
