THE 3rd Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce (PCCC) Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday from 11am to 9pm at the Penang Golf Club.
The biennial charity tournament will benefit 10 welfare organisations in the state.
Event organising chairman Jerry Lim said PCCC would donate RM50,000 as its corporate social responsibility to Eden Handicap Service Centre Bhd, St Nicholas Home, The Spastic Children Association, Salvation Army Penang, School of Mentally Retarded Children, Persatuan Untuk Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal, Lotus Old Folks Home, Penang Home for the Infirm and Aged, Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya Batu Maung and Shan Children’s Home.
Lim said the chamber also hoped to raise funds for its Young Entrepreneur Section to hold events such as seminars and contribution of festive gifts to the needy.
He said tournament participants would play a System 36 Stable Ford arrangement.
Lim added that 18 lucky draw prizes including treadmill, slimming machines and foot massagers worth more than RM30,000 were up for grabs.
“A dinner and prize-giving ceremony will be held right after the tournament, where Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng will be the guest of honour,” he told a recent press conference.
