Spanish giants Valencia have a tough week ahead

A file picture dated May 26 1999 of Phil (left) and Gary Neville celebrating with the Champions League trophy after winning 2-1 in extra time against Bayern Munich. Gary has been named new Valencia CF head coach until the end of the 2015-16 season. Phil will remain Valencia’s assistant coach.

SIX Primera Division titles, seven Copa Del Rey trophies, three UEFA Cups and twice runners-up in the UEFA Champions League. Valencia CF are one of the biggest and best supported clubs in Spanish and European football.

At the moment though, they look like a club without a clear direction. Which is strange, considering the fact that their new owner Peter Lim was regarded as their saviour not too long ago.
