Cheltenham College students rise to the challenge of a different playing style as part of summer tour


2 Keeping an eye on the SJKT Simee pupils while they practised gave the Cheltenham players a chance to mingle with them.

SEVENTEEN girls from the Cheltenham College hockey first eleven and three staff members made the journey from Gloucestershire, England, to expand the girls’ cultural boundaries and experience hockey in different conditions to the United Kingdom.

The visiting team’s skill were put to the test on Malaysian soil as they experienced a different hockey playing style with the addition of the unfamiliar playing climate, further pushing the girls’ stamina to the test.
