Sarawak steal the thunder at MSSM meet

SARAWAK’S emergence as overall champions for a seventh consecutive year with a final haul of 19 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals plus also the crowning of the east Malaysian state’s Quek Lee Yong and Grace Wong Xiu Mei as Sportsboy and Sportsgirl respectively provided the loudest cheer at the five-day National Schools Sports Council Track and Field (MSSM) Championships at the Hang Tuah Stadium in Krubong, Malacca.

With 13 record set, Grace bagging the Sportsgirl accolade for the second successive year took the spotlight with three new marks when wining the Girls Under-15 shot putt, discus and hammer events.
