HUNDREDS of diehard Manchester United and Arsenal fans across the Klang Valley attended the Tiger FC Big Away Game at the Beer Factory, Sunway Giza in Kota Damansara, last Sunday.
Fans were not disappointed as they were given a chance to win prizes at the viewing party with various on-ground activities, promotions and contests lined up.
Leroy Koh Wai Chuan, who won an iPhone 6 as the grand prize winner, said he was excited to watch the game with his pregnant wife.
“I am glad to be here as there are many activities lined up for fans and many games to take part in. This is my second time at a Tiger FC viewing party,’’ said the diehard Manchester United fan.
Another fan, Lester Koh Wai Keong, said it was a well-organised viewing party and he came along with many friends to watch the match and enjoy the atmosphere.
“The spread of food and drinks is nice and football fans get a chance to win great prizes while watching the game. I would not miss out if there is another viewing party like this,’’ he said.
Football fans who took up the challenge and defeated the formidable Tiger FC brand ambassadors at the foosball tourney were rewarded with a bucket of ice-cold Tiger Beer.
Through Playmaker, a football quiz mobile web application, five fans walked away victorious, netting a smartphone, 50” LED flat screen TV, tablet, compact camera and watch. Tiger FC also gave out premiums to those who tried out its mobile game, Dribble Pro.
Tiger Beer marketing manager Tai See Wai said it was the perfect way to close the 2014/15 football season.
“We have seen some tremendous action and upsets as the teams fought for a spot in the top four. We are glad that Tiger FC has united like-minded fans to share these moments together.

Apart from the Big Away Game this season, Tiger FC rewarded three fans via its football contest, The Real Pitch. The competition required fans to pitch why they should be the chosen one for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the United Kingdom.
The grand prize rewarded fans with a five-day four-night trip to London with one stadium match, and a pub match viewing experience. The campaign also saw a collaboration with famous Malaysian YouTuber Joseph Germani, who produced the contest promotional video.
At the event, Tiger Beer also launched “Tiger Lights”, a unique bar-top, and free-standing steel lamps that animates as you walk past known as “Uncage”. Tiger Lights uses the bars of the cage to trick your mind into seeing a looped animation from the static, underlying image. So as patrons move to the bar, the Tiger Lights moves with them, giving anyone who walks past, an individual interaction.
