THERE is an intriguing clash on the cards at Anfield tomorrow where Liverpool host Manchester City in the English Premier League. It is a fixture that both will want to win and also one that both believe they can win.
For Liverpool, it is a case of building on some recent good form in the Premiership. They top the form index of the last six matches, and rightly so. They won five of those and drew the other – an outstanding run by Brendan Rodgers’ team, who at last appear to be able to play cohesively and purposefully without some of their star players, namely Steven Gerrard, Lucas or Daniel Sturridge, as illustrated in their gutsy victory over Southampton last weekend.
