Rival Nibong Tebal teams lock horns in ‘no holds barred’ veterans meet

Too close forcomfort: Nibong Tebal FA’s Ng Ah Lai (second left) takes cover as Nibong Tebal United’s goalkeeper Tan Poh Fatt (left) comes off his line to punch clear a cross during their Group ‘B’ clash at the Polo Ground in George Town.

IT MAY be a local derby for the Nibong Tebal folk but when the town’s two teams crossed swords, it proved to be a ‘no holds barred’ affair.

That was exactly what Nibong Tebal United and Nibong Tebal FA (NTFA) displayed when they clashed in the Penang Chinese FA Veterans League Group B match at the Polo Ground in George Town, Penang, recently.
