Fans of Manchester United have another reason to celebrate this season.

Fairing well in the English Premier League table in third place, on course to qualify for the Champions League and with an 11-match unbeaten run to boast, the club are certainly in better spirits compared to last season.

Recently, the Hangover Bar and Bistro in Petaling Jaya decided to turn the place into an unofficial venue for Man Utd fans to get together and watch their idols in action.

A section of the pub is devoted to all things Man Utd with the clubs memorabilia such as jerseys, scarves, posters and caps filling up the space.

Being ardent football fans themselves, owners of the pub, Datuk Kevin Christopher Louis, Kiranjit Samra and Shiranjit Samra decided to turn the place into a fan base for United fans to come together on match days and watch live matches.

“First of all, I would like to put the record straight and say that I am a die-hard Liverpool fan,” said Kevin.

“But my partners and I have a common love for the game so we decided to turn this place into an outlet for Man Utd fans to catch up with family and friends during matches.

“Hangover is a now like a home for United fans,” said Kevin who is a big fan of the Reds legend Kenny Dalglish.

During the recent live viewing game between Man Utd and Newcastle, the place was a see of red as fans of Man Utd gathered to catch the game. They were not disappointed as Louis Van Gaal’s men beat the Magpies 3-1 with a brace by Wayne Rooney and another from Robin van Persie.

When asked about Liverpool’s dismal season so far compared to last season, Kevin said: “We lack a quality finisher with Luis Suarez gone and Daniel Sturridge out through injury. Goals were never a problem with these two around last season. Age is also catching up on our captain Steven Gerrard. We will be lucky if we finish fifth or sixth this season,“ said a very jovial Kevin.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Carlsberg for their backing for this event, being the official beer for the EPL, we are proud to be partners with them.

“We at Hangover also hope that all Man utd fans can enjoy match days here as its an avenue for them to unite and let loose.“

Also there to catch the game was veteran Malaysian singing legend Datuk Ramli Sarip.

“I love the game just as much as I love music. I am not a fan of any particular club but enjoy the matches and watching fans cheer for their favourite team," said Ramli.

The Hangover Bar & Bistro is located at 3 Two Square, No 2, Jalan 19/1, Petaling Jaya. For enquiries, call 03- 7954 4644.
