Carlsberg festive packaging blends cultural symbolism with contemporary design.

Drawing inspiration from the nobility of the horse and the timeless elegance of Chinese lacquer art, a beer label’s Chinese New Year festive packaging depicts majestic steeds emerging from swirling clouds – a symbolic ascent towards continuous good fortune and prosperity.

“At Carlsberg, we believe celebrations become more meaningful when we bring people together in the spirit of reunion and renewal.

“This Chinese New Year, we’re proud to unveil a festive identity that is part of a unified regional rollout across Malaysia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam,” said Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini.

To welcome the Year of the Horse, Carlsberg’s signature CarlsCrib: CNY Edition takes place in Kuala Lumpur from today until Sunday.

Visitors can expect festive thrills, exclusive goodies, irresistible bites and live house vibes.

Carlsberg is also inviting consumers to join the “Shaking Prosperity Together” celebration at selected supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Those who spend RM288 on participating Carlsberg brands can shake the Shaking Prosperity Tree and win instant rewards, including a limited-edition Carlsberg Rummy Set that’s perfect for festive play and family fun.

The on-ground experience takes place from 12pm to 5pm at selected outlets.

Shoppers picking up three cartons of 1664 at supermarkets and hypermarkets will receive a limited-edition 1664 Rummy Set.

Fans who purchase three cartons of Connor’s will receive a barbecue grill, just in time for reunion feasts and backyard parties.

In Peninsular Malaysia, purchasing three cartons of Carls­berg Smooth Draught, Sapporo or Somersby (with Sapporo inclu­ded in the mix) gets one a stylish 50.8cm luggage bag.

In Sabah and Sarawak, any combo of two cartons of Carls­berg Smooth Draught paired with either a carton of Sapporo or Somersby lands one the same sleek reward.

Until Feb 28, shoppers who pick up any Carlsberg products at 99 Speedmart stand a chance to share in a RM288,888 cash prize pool.

Every week, 11 lucky winners will strike gold with a RM1,788 ang pow, while 168 others walk away with RM99.

From now until Feb 28, consumers stand to win RM3,888 (eight winners every week) or RM178 (88 winners weekly) just by raising a glass with Carlsberg.
