Selangor is looking at Metamorphosis Selangor (metaSEL) to usher in an era of innovation and administrative modernisation.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the strategic initiative would function as the central repository for innovation data and new discoveries under state government supervision.
“MetaSEL is established to drive innovation, technology, digitalisation and administrative modernisation in Selangor.
“By unifying the state’s digital efforts into a single integrated platform, we will bolster Selangor’s competitiveness as a leading innovation hub within Malaysia and across Asia.”
Aligned with the vision of a Smart, Progressive and Liveable State, metaSEL would connect government, industry, academia and the public to create a sustainable innovation ecosystem, he said, as reported by Bernama.
Amirudin was speaking at the launch of MetaSEL in conjunction with Selangor Innovation Appreciation Ceremony 2025 at Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam.
Present at the event were State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzil Ahmad and Selangor Islamic religious affairs and cultural innovation committee chairman Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah.
